I have wireless internet currently, but the impression I got was they were favoring those who had cable TV. I didn't see an option that fit me since I don't have hundreds of cable channels (the horror! The Dark Ages! OO Whatever, NBC). But yeah, maybe there could have been a cable internet option...although isn't that typically a package? Getting cable TV with internet? IDEK. I had been hoping to have the option of watching it streaming, but noooo of course not because NBC are greedy little leeches and want all the money they can get.
LOL. Now that last statement seems funny when you say that NBC *loses* money showing the Olympics. Such a contradiction. I wish I had been able to watch the BBC coverage instead. I agree too -- I'm wondering why NBC bothers as well. Maybe for their reputation -- like oh, look how awesome we are covering the Olympics. Yeah, I get why they would withhold the "good stuff" for primetime for the advertisements. I honestly thought the rhythmic gymnastics looked way more interesting than the swim or track races...yet no Americans were competing in rhythmic gymnastics and the Russian always win it, so understandable why it wasn't shown during the "ad playground" primetime spot.
