That's interesting. Then again, the school I was in forced us to use cursive once we learned it. Also, computers were just beginning to come into the classroom so we didn't use it much for papers and such. I like to think that maybe being forced to write everything helped make for clearer handwriting.
It's funny, but this whole talk of handwriting reminds me of something my professor said. He mentioned that the art of handwriting and English calligraphy is disappearing. And how it's a shame a lot of people don't know cursive any more.
