I've noticed in German and French schools they all seem to get taught handwriting and all seem to write in the same style. In the UK we don't, (or didn't when I was a kid), so everybody's handwriting styles are all really different. Were you taught handwriting at school, or is this a style of writing that you've gradually found?
I might have a go at this meme it looks fun.

I was taught handwriting in school, but we were given space to develop a style? I don't know how to explain it, but as long as the letter was recognizable from the examples we were given it was OK.
You should do it!

My son, and all his friends, have TERRIBLE handwriting, it looks like it was written by a seven year old. I think it's because they do all their writing on keyboards and hardly ever pick up a pen. They just don't have the practice behind them.

It's funny, but this whole talk of handwriting reminds me of something my professor said. He mentioned that the art of handwriting and English calligraphy is disappearing. And how it's a shame a lot of people don't know cursive any more.

And in schools at that time, (I don't know if it's the same now, the government policies change...), but at that time it was considered to be "Undermining their confidence and creativity" if the teachers pointed out mistakes. So the the teachers didn't moan that their handwriting was terrible or that they were spelling everything wrong.
Then in secondary school, all their work and projects were done on the computer.
(His spelling isn't bad now though, but his handwriting is still awful.)
Yeah, I do think cursive is disappearring...I see a lot of hand-completed forms in my job, (from all ages though), and the handwriting on 95 per cent of them is really scrappy individual letters, (often a random unjoined mix of capitals and small letters), that look like they were done by a six year old. And quite often the people are on 60,000 pounds a year or more.

For some reason having both bad handwriting and being on a decent salary level doesn't surprise me.
