Characters: Arthur and Merlin
Summery: Just Merlin and Arthur, with some symbolism assistance from the Sun and Moon.
I remember reading a fic where there was an extremely small part in the story where Arthur developed magic by being overexposed to Merlin/his magic. I loved the idea.
Essentially it is just a glorified version of the sun producing light (source/Merlin) and the moon reflecting it (mirror/Arthur).
Because Arthur is born of magic, and hence a reflection/mirror, Arthur's eyes glow silver instead of gold when performing magic. And was that color darn hard to translate in watercolor.
Dozens of research tabs were opened for this in my web browser.
I drew inspiration from stained glass, art nouveau, Roman and Indian arches, and tile work.
Lots of tedious coloring!
