Oh man did you come to the right person, you know i've been thinking about studying extraterrestial marine organisims...
anyway a pro for sending man to Mars There are just some things man can do that robots can't. It woudl be easier to run and comfirm tests on soil and air quaitly. We could also get better pictures that encompass the ground and sky in one. We really don't know a lot about Mars terrian as a whole, only what we've been able to photograph. We could also find out what happened to one of our missing rovers as well as investigate the theory for water gyres beneath the surface of Mars by taking core samples.
A con It's expensive. It'll put us in a huge debt thanks to the current war, and a lot of people, other than scientist believe that there's no point in researching anything we can't see. There is also the theory that if anything useful were to be found, it could be utilized for the wrong reasons, like for example if their's a possiblity of living on Mars people would start selling real estate up there.
There you...I have more arguements for a Rover for Pluto but hey Mars is a good topic. It's basically what Earth may have looked like a few billion years ago and it would really help us understand how things came to be on our planet.
