"Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end..."
Speaking of un-american. My sister has been reading this book called "Queen-bees and Wannabees" which basically talks about the social structure of girls in school. Totally lame. However, what she got from the book is that both me and her have given up on society. How un-american is that? Actually, it's probably very american since everyone here is an 'individual' blah blah blah.
Giving up on your country is one of the most uniquely American things there is :D
That and buying shirts of Che Guevara (a rabid anti-capitalist and cuban revolutionary, in case you didn't know), which are made by a company owned by The Gap! xD
Tonight, Myself and a few friends were looking at year books, and eventually my dad came in with his to show us. While looking through some of the things written in it, I came across one thing that was from someone who used the wrong form of your. He meant to say, "You're a good guy," but he used your. My dad told me he was a teacher, so that made it bad enough.
Then he told me he was the Vice President of the school.
Everyone in my dad's yearbook had some fort of grammatical handicap. It was very frightening ... especially since I'm used to well-educated people; even the 'norm' in my high school were educated on at the very least basic grammar structure and style.
