internet out of comission ... again

Since my sister has no coordination with her body, she has broken the laptop I have been using.  I'm back to spotty internet when I can access an upstairs computer.  I'll try my best to get back to any comments and/or e-mails as quickly as I can.  Ugh, I can never cut a break when it involves computers.

She tripped and pulled the power cord bending something inside the port so the battery won't charge. :(

Aw, that bites. Can you get a new adapter/power supply to recharge the battery? Or can nothing be done about it?

Sadly the problem is not with the power cord but the part inside the actual laptop where you attach the adapter.

What sucks even more is that it's my Aunt's laptop that I was borrowing while mine was being fixed. I feel like a real A-hole breaking someone else's thing. I talked to her today and she said it was fine and "Shit happens" but I feel terrible about it. The whole irony is that apparently my lappy has been ready and fixed for a while now.

When I finally meet up with her I'm going to be giving her a complete set of etchings I made this past semester as an apology. I was actually going to 'pay' her in art anyway, but I'm just increasing the amount now that this has happened.

Aww, how frustrating. :( But things like this happen unfortunately. You can only make the best of it. At least your laptop has been repaired. :) And your aunt is okay with the damage -- that helps. Accidents happen. :(

Alas, it's a power cord problem. Once the battery is drained I can't recharge it. :(
I just wish I kept the cord out of her way.

I know! It's like ultimate fail when it concerns computers. I'm just glad I can compensate somewhat with art.
