Whoo, I have been working on this CD case tutorial for hours over the course of yesterday and today.
But!! It was a lot of fun and hopefully it will be useful.

Use it to make a custom case for a mixed CD, submit as that extra touch for your CD art portfolio, house all those loose discs and DVDs, or you just like looking at homemade CD cases.

If there's anything unclear about the tutorial please tell me so I can clarify it.

Special shout out to [livejournal.com profile] itzcoatl!!

You can also download each part of the tutorial at my deviantart

The artwork featured on my CD case is from a series of etchings I did two years ago.
All the images used are self-portraits ... umm, the original photographs were from a Sailor V photoshoot I had in Fall 08.
Let's just say there were some very confused freshman.

In other news, I like making costumes and I haven't made one in 2 years (though I have sewn).  If there wasn't a lack of funds, I'd be all over making a Merlin costume!

That is an absolutely excellent tutorial, and I will look at it in detail and print it off...

...But at the moment I am in the grip of the "Cold-of-Doom"...and it's entirely possible that I died half and hour ago and just haven't noticed yet...

Do zombies have colds? Does that mean I'm NOT dead, or just that I'm a zombie with the flu..............

Thank you! I always get worried that I'm not clear enough so I end up going into extreme detail, or what I consider extreme detail which is probably just rambling. Anyway, I'd hate for someone to get confused.
Lol, it's probably the teaching assistant in me. Gotta make sure those kiddos know what they're doing so the professor won't yell at them later on.

Does your computer open .pub files? I can send you the original document without the border so you can save some ink since the total amount of pages is 18. *o*

NOOO!! Cold of doom go away.
I find that zinc and echinacea helps when I have a cold. Of course it works best when you suspect you're coming down with a cold but it still helps. Tastes really nasty though.

That looked like a fun photoshoot! ♥ You've put together a great tutorial -- thanks for taking the time to do it. I'd have to give it a try sometime (though I'm not the best with doing art things by hand...I do all right with Photoshop at least. ;))

Haha! Yes, it was a super fun photoshoot. Day right before classes starting, random looks from the news students roaming the campus, people asking to take a photo with them ... heh.

Aww, thank you. Looking at it now I'm quite surprised how well put together it is, minus some unfinished sentences here and there.

Thank god for the photoshop option!
It really makes the case look somewhat professional. :)
