lol, I wish I could say the same about the pie I ate. My mom learned last week that the chefs at her work cafeteria were selling gourmet pies for Thanksgiving. She asked if we should get some, so I gave her $20 to get 2. Best decision ever.
Sounds delicious! ;) Enjoy your pumpkin pie. I don't think I've tried pumpkin pie before -- maybe I did once but it wasn't very good. :( Probably wasn't real pumpkin pie. oO I prefer apple or cherry pie.
I always can't help but think of Harry/Hermione when pumpkin pie is brought up...since Pumpkin Pie is the name of the ship (HMS Pumpkin Pie :p). The connection doesn't make immediate sense, but the name has stuck (it resulted from a popular author's fic wherein she wrote that the kiss between the pair tasted like pumpkin pie...I think Hermione had eaten pumpkin pie beforehand? IDK. The eccentricities of fandom...;)).
I love pumpkin pie! But then again I grew up eating it. Interesting that you've never had it, but I remember reading it's a more New England thing? I dunno, but should should definitely try it again!
There's also sweet potato pie which is also orange in color but is not nearly as good which is what you may have had?
