I'm listening to the Light Classical music station on my cable TV and Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber comes on.
Really?
That's not light. In fact it's downright depressing.
I blame you 'Platoon.'

I had parents who weren't very discerning about what they let their kids see when I was younger, and I saw that movie when I was six or seven. It definitely disturbed me and left a lasting impression.

Dayum, Platoon is a hard movie to watch even when you're old enough to understand what's going on.

Yeah, I've only watched it partially since that first time so there's a lot that I didn't understand that first time and things that (it's possible I imagined them) that still freak me out when I think of the movie.

I have some similar experiences. My childhood memory of certain scenes or imagery in movies is always worse than the reality.
