einahpetsBack in the good ol' days of 1980 they made a live action movie called "Lady Oscar".
Now what is interesting about this movie is that a) it was made in France, b) all dialogue is in English, and c) it's based off of a popular manga known as Rose of Versailles. If you need proof I shall provide a link.

Maybe someone out there knows what I'm talking about and can lead me to any info as to where I could possible see/buy it.
What I find most impressive is that they actually made a manga based movie as far back as the 80s.
